Integrated analysis of the microbiome and transcriptome in stomach adenocarcinoma

Abstract We aimed to characterize the stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD) microbiota and its clinical value using an integrated analysis of microbiome transcriptome. Microbiome transcriptome data were downloaded from Cancer Atlas Genome databases. identified nine differentially abundant microbial genera, including Helicobacter , Mycobacterium Streptococcus which clustered patients into three subtypes with different survival rates. In total, 74 prognostic genes screened 925 feature subtypes, among five for model construction, NTN5 MPV17L MPLKIP SIGLEC5 SPAG16 . The could stratify risk groups. high-risk group was associated poor overall survival. A nomogram established score accurately predict 1, 3, 5 year probabilities. had a higher proportion histological grade 3 recurrence samples. Immune infiltration showed that samples in abundance infiltrating neutrophils. Notch signaling pathway activity significant difference between high- low-risk conclusion, based on STAD.
